Pattern beats colour

A mid-tone pattern with three or more colours hides more than any plain rug, whatever the shade.

Pile height

Flat-weave for anywhere food travels. Short pile everywhere else. High pile looks best for about a month.

Washable or not

Machine-washable cotton rugs have got genuinely good. Check the maximum width your machine takes before ordering.
