Hang high, hang wide

Rod 15–20cm above the frame and 20cm wider each side. The window looks bigger and the curtains clear the glass when open.

Length

Floor length or just below the sill — nothing in between. Mid-wall curtains make a low ceiling look lower.

Rentals

Tension rods work up to about 120cm. Past that, a no-drill bracket that clamps to the frame is the only reliable option.
