The test

Same A3 print, three frames, same wall, same light. Judged on glazing clarity, mount quality and how square they hang.

What separated them

Glazing. Acrylic scratches during framing and never looks right again; glass held up. Mount thickness came second.

Where to save

Buy cheap frames for anything hung above eye level. Nobody can see the mount from there.
